Wiff Rudd began teaching at Baylor University in 2002. A founding member of Rhythm & Brass and a member of the Baylor Brass, he is also an active soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He has been a featured soloist in Carnegie Hall on several occassions as well as at several National Trumpet Competitions and International Trumpet Guild Conferences. He has performed and presented master classes at more than 350 universities and countless music festivals and concert series on five continents.

Rudd serves as the principal trumpet of the Waco Symphony and performs regularly with the symphony orchestras of Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth. His book, Collaborative Practice Concepts, was released in 2013 and has been adopted by many trumpet studios across the country.

Since 2009, 11 Baylor Trumpet Ensembles and several soloists have won prizes at the National Trumpet Competition. Additionally, his students have performed and competed successfully in numerous Interational Trumpet Guild Conferences.
