The 2017 International Trumpet Guild Conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania is currently looking for volunteers to help in several capacities from May 28 through June 4, 2017. All interested applicants need to be available for the full dates listed above; there will be no exceptions made.
The International Trumpet Guild needs a group of hardworking and dedicated volunteers each spring in order to for the Conference to be successful. Areas of work at the Conference will include registration, stage crew and setup, badge checking, ticket sales, vendor set-up and tear-down, assisting artists and patrons with any questions or concerns, and local transportation.
All volunteers will receive complimentary lodging for the days leading up to and for the duration of the Conference in quad-occupancy rooms. Please make sure to indicate whether you will have a vehicle at the Conference. Meals will be the responsibility of the volunteer, however you will receive a small stipend to help cover these costs. Dress for the Conference in its entirety is the official volunteer t-shirt (you will receive two), and khakis, dress pants, or dark jeans. You must wear your name badge at all times.
In your personal statement, please include your previous experience, if any, in the above areas, whether at a past ITG Conference or other similar event (summer camp, internship, etc.). Please be sure to indicate past work experience and why you should be considered as a volunteer.
