Tromba Mundi

Founded in 2008 for the sole purpose of the exploration, promotion and performance of new works for trumpet ensemble, Tromba Mundi has recorded several world premiere compositions and continues to commission new music for the genre. 

Each member of the ensemble is a professional performer and on the faculty of various universities across the United States. Members have performed frequently with ensembles such as the Cincinnati Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Summit Brass, New Mexico Philharmonic, Keystone Wind Ensemble, Atlantic Brass Band, Woody Hermann Orchestra, Maynard Ferguson Big Bop Nouveau, Glenn Miller Band and more. Several Tromba Mundi members also have critically acclaimed solo recordings.

Tromba Mundi released their debut CD, Music for Trumpet Ensemble, in 2008 which features seven premiere recordings as well as works from the standard competition repertoire. Their second recording, Sinfonia Americana, was released in February of 2012 and is comprised solely of premiere recordings, several of which were composed for Tromba Mundi.
