Otto Cano was born in Guatemala City on March 5, 2000, at age 10 I began to play trumpet in the symphonic band of the art school of my city in 2014 I began to work with international Latin music bands taking national tours and international in Mexico, El Salvador and the United States.

In 2019 I started studying at the Da Vinci University of Guatemala specializing in Jazz and contemporary music. I am currently a student of the Cuban teacher and pedagogue Armando Trujillo Sosa.

Most of my career has been focused on Jazz, being part of Big Bands, jazz combos and invited to Jazz festivals in the country, I have been invited to the National Symphony Orchestra of Guatemala and I have also been part of other Symphony orchestras of the country.

He had the opportunity to take classes with international teachers such a Alexis Morales Barrientos, Andrea Tofanelli, José Sibaja, Ernesto Núñez, James Ackley, Chipi Chacón and Orestes Machado.

Currently a member of “The MaJazz Projet” a Guatemalan band that performs Latin American music with modern arrangements and heavily influenced by Jazz.
