Marcos Garcia Vaquero, born in 1988, received his first trumpet lessons at the age of seven in the wind band from Punta Umbria (Huelva), his hometown. In 2000 he started his prepatory studies with Prof. Francisco Escobar Garcia at the University of Music and Performing Arts Huelva. From 2008 until 2012, he studied his Diplom with Prof. Luis González, Prof. Javier Simó and Prof. Reinhold Friedrich at the Musikene Music School in San Sebastian. From 2013 to 2016 he was part of the famous trumpet class of Prof. William Forman and Martin Wagemann at the University of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin.

He has participated in several masterclasses with teachers as Frits Damrow, Ole Edward Antonsen, Sergei Nakariakov, Mark Inouye, Tamás Velenzcei, Gabòr Tarkovik, Jeroen Berwaerts, Eric Aubier, Bo Nilsson, Martin Baeza, Francisco Pacho Flores, Manuel Blanco. Marcos won the first prize in the national competition “Yamaha-Alnafil ” which awarded him recording sessions with music from the spanish composer Santiago Baez.

In the seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 he enjoyed the scholarship of the Humboldt University “Wardwell-Stipendium”. He was former of renowned youth orchestras such as European UnionYouth Orchestra , Pacífic Music Festival (2013 y 2014), Netherland Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO) by Claudio Abbado and professional orchestras as Staatkapelle Berlin, DeutscheOper Berlin, Jalisco Philharmonic, Brandenburgischen Staatorchester Frankfurt, Berlin Opera Chamber Orchestra,Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta de Cadaqués, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta Sinfónica de Extremadura. With these orchestras he played in famous concerthalls around the world like the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam,Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Suntury Concert Hall Tokio, Concerthall Busam, Philharmonie Colonia , National Concerthall Spain.

Marcos Garcia worked with very important conductor like Semyon Bychkov, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Neville Marriner, John Adams, David Afkham, Leo Macfall, Juanjo Mena, Lutz Köhler. He is very passionate about chamber music. He is a permanent member of the European Brass Ensemble ( by Thomas Clamor), Silver Brass Quintet, and Andalusian Brass Ensemble.

Since September 2017, Marcos is the Co-Principal Trumpet at the Madrid Royal Theater Symphony Orchestra and profesor ay Progreso Musical Music School
