Carol Morgan is a jazz trumpeter who lives and works in New York City. She has recorded several albums as a leader—six of which are available for listening and download purchase at her website carolmorganmusic.com. Also there, you can find her acclaimed textbook “The Practicing Improviser.”
Carol was born in Pampa, Texas in 1968 and began learning cornet at the age of 9. Following high school graduation she relocated to Austin, then New York for further musical study. Carol feels fortunate to have worked with Ray Crisara, Chris Gekker and Mark Gould. Today she enjoys teaching and composing, as well as her performing career.
