THE 43RD ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL TRUMPET GUILD CONFERENCE
THE HYATT REGENCY • SAN ANTONIO • MAY 29 THROUGH JUNE 2, 2018
I am happy to invite you to the 2018 ITG Conference in San Antonio, “Deep from the Heart of Texas.”
Our 43rd annual ITG Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk San Antonio, 123 Losoya Street, San Antonio, TX. I would like to give you a glimpse of the hardworking crew that has already put great thought and many hours into the 2018 Conference; generous thanks to— the ITG Board of Directors, our Conference Director Jean-Christophe Dobrzelewski, our Conference Artist Committee headed by Kevin Gebo, and all the many people who are creating a dynamic program drawing from our trumpet stars worldwide.
We continue moving forward in our goal to feature a diverse array of artists, bringing some new faces and sounds for your enjoyment and education. We are expanding our International and diversity reach and providing even more opportunities for all of us to play our horns, be inspired and learn. Our traditionally popular offerings—evening concerts, recitals, clinics, masterclasses, trumpet prelude ensembles, brass bands, historical instruments, trumpet and organ, our four competitions, Youth Day, Festival of Trumpets, warm up sessions, and research room will be on the schedule as usual. New in 2018 will be additional performance time for trumpet prelude ensembles who travel far to attend and perform at the Conference.
Exhibitors bringing all the newest equipment, music and accessories will be eager to see you. Don’t miss your chance to try horns, mouthpieces, and see the latest in “all things trumpet.”
The Hyatt Regency Riverwalk San Antonio “is in the heart of it all, steps from the Alamo, and Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center”. We will be in the middle of San Antonio’s historic downtown, an inspiring historic setting for our 43rd annual Conference. This one will truly offer something for all, and you will want to be there. On behalf of the Board and Conference team I will say that we look forward to seeing you there. Please say hello while at the Conference, and let any of us know if you would like to become more involved in ITG. We need everyone!
